Citrix offers "right here-right now" help to companies trying to cut the overall costs of their networks. CTXS doesn't need ASP to make money, which is fortunate because at this stage ASP is vapor ware. So far, the biggest benefit of ASP has been psychological -it's easier to understand than thin client, thus helping the stock price. Will ASP really be big? Who knows. As far as I'm concerned it's lagniappe to the CTXS story. My real concern is whether the 30% to 40% reduction in costs that companies are likely to see from deploying CTXS is sufficient incentive. Another concern is the wide but shallow use by big companies. This indicates to me that there is little commitment to change(so far).
