John.. right.. that was the post Art was referring to also. Don't you think that approach, especially if it is "forced" on MSFT is somewhat counter-productive? Ideally, an approach from Microsoft which is technically sound and will satisfy the antitrust concerns -- even if it retains the OS monopoly intact -- would be much preferable to some ham - handed politically imposed "solution". And it seems to me that it would be in MSFT's interest to do just that -- propose a solution; if this thing drags on with a political threat hanging over events, that can't be beneficial to shareholder values..imo
