Andrew, no problem...i'm no stranger to statistics. i agree with what you say...up to a point. my own view of T/A is that it is actually a branch of psychology. price and volume patterns are used to gauge the psychological state of market participants, and arrive at conclusions about the probability of sentiment continuing in a certain direction or changing. of course T/A is also highly subjective...different people will interpret the same data differently. it is certainly not an exact science, but psychology isn't either.
