why would the owners of a public traded stock want to make it private by buying up all the outstanding shares?

Cash for a correction is perhaps smart. I would hold nn for a bit to see how the buyout angle works out, if it is on the block, this one will go before New Years. I assume you got in like me a few days ago on the pullback, I am in at 15 5/8 and can afford to lose a little if it goes down, but am much more excited about the possibility of a buyout from 24-30 a share than losing a buck or so of my profits. Good luck on whichever way you decide to play it.
