Dataquest reports via Reuters: It was the seventh consecutive quarter of increasing sales growth for Cisco. With the explosive growth of the Internet, Cisco is seeing increasing demand from cable companies, wireless and telephone companies. Analysts said the company is still holding its own against stepped-up assaults from rivals Lucent Technologies Inc. and Nortel Networks Corp. . ''These results are just a further vindication of their strategy,'' said analyst John Armstrong at market researcher Dataquest.
