You don't think that if the killer(s) were really trying to send a message to other possible informants they'd have been much more "theatric"? Perhaps pose the victims in some way, have them hold something, etc.? I mean, after all, if you're the type who is going to "artistically" shoot someone, why not display your handiwork "artistically"? - Jeff P.S. As an aside, every so often I stop to think about what I'm writing about here and the reality makes me queasy. Just had to say that. :(
