That is tough. I remember a trip to Greece, took 36 hours. LA to Dulles with a bunch of crying babies that didn't get off, more got on, and continued to Frankfort. Just as one quit crying, another started. Frankfort to Athens.

When I finally saw the driver standing at the gate holding a sign with our name, I wanted to kiss him. Arrived at the hotel, 5 star. All I wanted was a shower and sleep, and no hot water, in a 5 star hotel! Now I'm in tears. My husband gets a second wind and wants to see Athens, he saw it alone that evening.

Fortunately the rest of the trip was wonderful, especially the island of Hydra. This is another story.

You have an absolutely wonderful time and tell us all about it when you return.

After laughing at all the posts this morning, I'm finally settled enough to get serious! Enjoy Singapore, Karen. I was there many years ago; naturally we had to go to the Raffles Hotel to have a drink in the bar. We even asked to inspect a room. So 1930-ish. It was great.
