I attempted to buy shares from my IRA fun money account (Scottsdale Securities). The order was rejected with a Trading not available for this security message. Is the first day limited to certain brokerage houses?

Today once again a good reason to go with a full service broker. Yesterday 500 shares of KQIP at $20.81 up $10 since IPO. Today 1000 shares UPS at $50. closed at $67. I am glad to say my broker MSDW.
Made enough to pay a years higher commission.
