But the fact remains that bezos former career was as as a hedge fund manager. If you think he would not take advantage of the opportunity to hedge his positions, you are crazy. Hedging does not require ANY reporting to the SEC. Everyone in the valley does it- a friend of mine who works at a public company told me how a broker from Prudential visited the office on the first day after they went public and offered hedging services to all employees with a fancy brochure..

There are two reasons for his not selling. 1)Higher stock price in future 2)Signal to employees, shareholders and Wall Street. Which has the higher priority only Bezos knows for sure.
