Right before the end of the quarter a little birdie suggested that AMD could produce 1.4 million Athlons in Q4. I thought maybe that was a mistake and that it was the combined estimate for Q3 and 4...
Now it appears that maybe it wasn't. 1.2 would be nice this Q at any rate.
Ah the luxury to have the time to tweak the process and speed bins...Something only Intel has enjoyed until now. I have heard that yields on the Athlon have been very good from the start and the way these babies overclock it appears that good speed bins haven't been a problem either.
Speaking of 750s and 800s...I'd rather see these on .25u on one hand (this means .25u has a way to go MHZ wise) and on .18u on the other (which would mean .18u processes are coming along nicely)...
