AMD lost HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of DOLLARS in that market.

Intel MADES HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of DOLLARS of PROFIT in that market - so yes, Intel wants it - and now Intel HAS IT !

Nope - Coppermine Pentium ///s are cheaper to produce than 0.25 micron Celerons - 106 sq. mm. vs 154 sq. mm, respectively.

Pentium ///s + i810e chip sets, and Intel will earn a nice profit from these boxes.
