Well, I have been trying to get information myself but since everybody's model is changing all the time its hard to come up with much. I agree with the article from iionline posted here yesterday that ariba, commerce one and agil are really the only quality names - except I would add I2 to their list with their tradematrix functionality and their current installed base. Agil only became a player with their acq of digital market.

My biggest gripe with ariba and commerce one was that they were purchasing for non-order cycle goods. They talk about the reasons for that a little in the article (real time bids, etc.) but I have always felt the real problem for purchasing within the supply chain is the software that exists there now and the current vendors disincentive to open up the chain to ariba or commerce. Agil is a supply chain vendor in a way (partner with orcl) so they are already there... as is I2.

Commerce one really scored with GM within the production cycle, but my guess is GM has a highly customized EDS manufacturing solution anyway so its completely their call as to whether they want to work with commerce one or Ariba.
Here are some posts on this from the amzn thread last night:

Ariba has had a head start and superior technology vs. Commerce One, however, Hoffman is the better executive for this high-end applications space, imo.
