Concentric Launches Industry's First, Most Comprehensive Private Label DSL Program
Private Label Program Provides a Complete Turn-Key Solution, Allowing Partners To Rapidly Deploy DSL Service to Supplement Their Existing Product Offerings
SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Concentric Network Corp. (Nasdaq: CNCX - news), a leading provider of e-business solutions for small- to medium-sized companies, today unveiled a private label digital subscriber line (DSL) solution targeted at companies looking to quickly and cost-effectively add a high-speed, ''always on'' Internet access solution to their business service portfolio. The ConcentricDSL Private Label solution allows local phone companies, competitive local exchange carriers, long distance providers, Internet service providers, business retailers, VARs and systems integrators to leverage Concentric's proven experience in the DSL market and enjoy the benefits of the company's extensive 18-city DSL footprint. Moreover, this comprehensive solution absolves much of the time, capital and resources required to build the extensive work flow and billing management systems which are required for an internal implementation of DSL service.

By leveraging Concentric's established relationships with local loop providers, DSL service is now accessible to companies who want to provide their customers a secure, affordable, high-speed network connection, but without incurring the large investment required to establish such a service. For private labeled DSL customers, Concentric can equip each DSL account with multiple static IP addresses, e-mail boxes, and Web site hosting capabilities. Moreover, by combining ConcentricDSL Private Label with the award-winning ConcentricHost Private Label service, end-user e-mail addresses and Web site hosting services can also be branded under the name of the private label partner. Finally, if desired, private label partners can outsource additional resource components, including pre-sales personnel, installation and customer support, further leveraging Concentric's economies of scale and skill. In this manner, a complete networking solution set is available to ConcentricDSL Private Label partners, who in turn can provide a full suite of Internet services to their customer base.

''As one of the first in the industry to begin offering DSL service, we've constructed a footprint and a service performance level that is ideal for private labeling,'' said Henry R. Nothhaft, chairman, president and CEO of Concentric Network. ''ConcentricDSL Private Label allows companies to tap into resources that aren't easily duplicated, thereby reducing overall time-to-market at a fraction of the cost of an in-house effort.''

Private Label DSL Service

In addition to offering a range of service options, Concentric has simplified the ordering, installation and billing processes for private label partners. Concentric handles all circuit ordering and installation, end-to-end communication with the DSL-CLECs and provides the required hardware at the customer's location.

To simplify the billing process, private label partners receive a single monthly price and bill statement, consolidating both the DSL circuit and the Internet access charges. Companies using the private labeled DSL service also enjoy the benefits of the ConcentricHost Private Label solution. In this way, end-users are afforded a complete solution that seamlessly combines DSL services, e-mail accounts, and Web hosting space, all under a private label.

Since launching DSL in late 1997, Concentric has aggressively expanded its deployment to 18 metropolitan cities, including Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, Portland, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Diego, San Jose, Seattle and Washington, D.C.
