Options are meant to be sold rather covered or naked! Sure some make a killing, but it's like hitting the Jack Pot at a casino! There have been studies showing 80% and in some showing even an higher percentage of options that expire worthless. On top of that 100% of all the time value of options expire worthless! Nothing like selling options and watching them waste away! Professional traders sell options, they are not buyers of options! I do not count myself as a professional, but I do sell options naked and have done very very well over the last 7 or 8 years since I've been doing it! I've even made more on selling naked calls the past few years than I have in selling naked puts and we have been in the biggest bull market ever! It's amazing and fun collecting money in my account as opposed to giving it out by buying a wasting asset!
