Sleep well tonight: Drudge - CLASSIFIED PENTAGON REPORT: ARMY STRETCHED, DIVISIONS NOT READY FOR WAR Two out of ten U.S. Army divisions are not prepared for war, the Pentagon disclosed in a classified evaluation on Tuesday! The evaluation cites the strain of having U.S. troops spread from Bosnia, Kosovo and beyond as the reason behind the divisions not being ready for war, the WASHINGTON POST will report in a Page One exclusive on Wednesday. MORE... The POST's Bradley Graham writes that the move "stunned senior Pentagon civilians and members of Congress, who were informed of the monthly ratings within the past week." Senator James Inhofe, for one, expressed grave concern over the evaluation: "Over the past several years, the readiness of the Army has been deteriorating as a result of insufficient funding and a foreign policy that has committed military personnel to areas where we have no vital security interests. This deterioration makes it unlikely that these units would be able to engage in a major theater war without unnecessary loss of life."
