Nice to hear it... I have seen many who have given up the nice gains without proper money management. Money management is very important... but you will get the hang of riding the wild ones soon. Why don't you try cutting down the position size and try to ride the wild one either on the upside or downside? Once you get comfortable you can increase the position size.

I grow impatient when the size of position doesn't allow me to place meaningful stops. So, with hot stocks I usually don't care about the % loss but rather absolute amount of dollars I am willing to loose. This gives me better control of placing stops and also avoiding normal swings without being stopped out.

Yep... it will change to the conservative side esp. if you are not a MOMO guy :)
