Earning Out, and they Don't Inspire

basically they generated sales of $11.5 mil
the same as last year, however now they show
a .08 loss instead of a .01 gain. Regulars
know they got away from nonweb quote
delivary systems to focus on Internet only
delivary, and Online Trading, so we can
forgive them, (something Barry should have
stressed in this earnings release, shame on
you, dummy!) but I don't know if Wall St.
will. writing up the press release to show
how well they could have done if they were
a full fledge broker, and did not have to
spend money on marketing, really is dumbing
it down. Comparing TRAC growth rates and
activity to their competition is nice, but
few will care unless we record enough quarters
to see a trend. Bottom line, this earnings release
was obviously meant to appeal to the average
Joe Six Pack who owns this stock, not the
Wall Street'ers who will scoff at it. But
considering how low Institutional buying of
this stock tends to be on the open market,
this may not be such a bad thing. I just
hope we don't see too much of an exodus of
investors until the 11/17 split, so I and
many other will have time to Bail!

Longs can take some comfort in knowing that
new Shorts into a upcoming Split should have
their heads examined. That does not mean we
will go up much from here, but we certainly
won't go down for very long.
