I agree ... I have long argued that people didn't understand the value of BorderManager/ICS. This is going to be a huge revolution which adds new layers of infrastructure onto the existing packet routed networks.

One of your comments made me realize ... if architected correctly, this could end up being the "back-door" through which other Novell products are delivered into the ISPs ...

FYI Victor--

<<In this niche NOVL could become the big gorilla. I don;t know who came up with a figure of 2 bill for the caching market in the next couple of years. Maybe NOVL could take a good chunk of the pot.>>

Novell's caching technology is available via the BorderManager? proxy server as well as the Novell© Internet Caching System? (ICS), a scalable, "plug-n-accelerate" appliance technology available through OEM partners. The Internet Caching Report estimates that the caching market will be $287 million in 1999, reaching $2.2 billion by the year 2003. For more information on the report, please visit irgintl.com.

"The Internet Caching Report validates Novell's caching leadership position," said Smita Deshpande, director of Internet Solutions, Novell. "With the continued adoption of Novell caching technology, we are building a more effective and powerful Internet infrastructure for businesses of all sizes."
