Some how the word debate got left off the end of this sentence. The point is that self defense is a legitimate argument with pros and cons and needs to be considered. You have stated [and very well I might add] the pros of legalizing the carrying of guns. Of course the cons would be the likely hood of said scenario taking place as compared to the likely hood of one of your children being a victim at columbine [sp]. There is of course much more to be said on both sides, this being a reasonable argument. <<The only simple answer is there is no simple answer>> Well of course this is true. Simple or not a decision must be made as many lives hang in the balance. We can only hope for the most effective result after careful consideration of both sides. My post was meant to dismiss the arms for rebellion against a repressive government argument as not being realistic. pez
