Bobby, even better, if the current 17-items CRB is calculated back, it has in fact made a double bottom spanning 12 years, using this year's low and the '86 low. that hints at a truly powerful springboard in conjunction with the smaller bottoming formation this year.
if gold is truly dead, why are 8,600 tons of the stuff supposedly bunkered at Fort Knox, and unavailable for sale or lease? could it be that it has a monetary role after all?
btw, current equilibrium price based on U.S. gold reserves and outstanding paper with promises printed on it is approximately $3,000/oz. sorry, couldn't resist...<ggg>
