Ike, on the put front, first the strategic overview, then the actual names:

1. I think the Xmas lies will continue until early or Mid December, which will help support the mania to buy stocks. So, I have about a half load of puts right now and plan to load up next month with expirations Jan-March. The xmas sales season is just too important for the big cos. to tell the truth about their businesses disappearing.

2. Those I do not want to be without right now include Dell, Intel, Freddie Mac, Citigroup, Rambus, and The Mexico Fund, in addition to the Dow and QQQ. In December, I will be picking from a huge list and which I choose depends on which is most overpriced then. Looking for now, I would be interested in more of the above, plus Pfizer, Merck, Chase, Merrill, Micron, Adaptec, Gateway, Providian, Capital One, Amazon, Lucent and Cisco.
