I tend to be a technical trader, and rely heavily on Point & Figure charting. From a Point & Figure point of view, today's action in SONO is not good. By hitting 26, the stock gave a triple bottom sell signal, which is not good. Sometimes such signals do not result in further follow-through selling, but more often than not, you can expect the stock to come under further pressure.

I stopped out today at 26 9/16. I can always re-enter if the sell signal is negated, or buy in lower. Right now, there are too many other opportunities in the market to have my money tied up in a technically damaged stock.

I believe the stock will recover, and I'll be all over it when it does. But for now, I'm moving on.

TB,
Who are the two "well recognized names in the fund biz"?

I would like to agree with you, but also think that part of this fall may be that they are shorting the stock to lock in a sure profit of a couple of dollars on the placement. They are undoubtedly sophisticated enough to be able to say a loud "Thank you" to someone who hands them a few million dollars with almost no risk.

That doesn't mean that you aren't right. But there are other interpretations, as I'm sure you know. Your point on the Yahoo thread that no insiders have sold yet despite the sharp runup is a strong one, IMO. I'm hanging in there, and may buy some more soon.

Best,
Sam
