I have figured out how to apply it to trading, wait until you get your end of the year statement on your account with Boiler Room Discount Brokerage.

Solon,
Nothing is not the same thing as nothingness. Both can be a good thing. Perhaps, it takes a more Zen approach to fully understand....

Nothing vs Nothingness

Nothing can be cause for celebration. Nothing relates to external stimuli. For example, when I get a statement from Boiler Room Discount Brokerage and find that I have lost nothing, champagne corks fly....party favors get handed around...I add some hog jowl to the beans...life is good. Admittedly, this has only happened once, but it was cause for celebration.

Nothingness is an entirely different matter....
The zen sword masters often called the training circle the place of enlightenment. Fears of death, expectations, ego, and self were shed...one became lost in nothingness. Good sword circles are hard to come by around here...but living with the wolf serves a similar purpose. When one lives in constant danger and fear of death, danger and fear of death becomes meaningless. With the wolf, each day that you awaken in one piece - more or less, is a joy. This is the root of nothingness. Nothing is expected...and survival is hoped for to some degree....but not entirely for the wolf awaits you. Survival and non-survival become mirror images and equally attractive....ying and yang, if you will. Each breath is a joy and you realize how little it takes to be joyful...
It takes little to be happy. A little food. A little shelter. A little sunshine. And just a little...
