fewer posts on here lately, it seems to me.

go long the obvious; go short the obvious. I expect a strong November and a waterfall decline in December.

Given "the rules" here of "no gut feelings," I base this on..the obvious confluence of rising rates and oil and y2k and (add your favorites here).

Nas up +40% for the year?? the longs are playing a fool's game.

"Free money" (and I've made some myself) never persists in markets. What a shame...

Vitas,

Concerning your response to American Spirit, he is correct that if you pick the right stock there is still money to be made, and even in a bear market that would be the case but just more difficult.

What he failed to say was how bullish he was in the past, but now has turned to the tune of individual stocks/sectors.
When the bears were calling for a correction/trading range since April, if I recall correctly he came on board to strongly state and chastise those who were bearish to any degree. I have been calling for a trading range in the since MAR as many others who were more bearish than bullish.

Many of those with bearish views have been calling for sector rotation for a long time, and now this person comes and says there is still money to be made. WE KNOW THAT.

If you also noticed that he has tuned down his bullish stance, where in the past it was the overall market but now its selective - I and others have been saying that since MARCH. ggggggggggggggggggggg

The reason Im making such a issue is that I recall that in the past he has come on to this board and insulted those who were bearish. So actually he is admitting that he was wrong without saying it by stating that it is now a selective market which many on this board have been saying since MAR, but hes not man enough coming straight out.
