DLO: You are smokin' the same stuff that da' judge and DOJ and the other hacks are speaking about. The Appeals Court has already said that the gov't and courts should stay out of software design. AOL also has a similar one sided view of things as their partners in gov't."November 10, 199921:04AOL chief wants neutral but cooperative government"

There is nothing wrong with having the browser imbedded in the O/S it is just like any other sub-system that coordinates I/O between the cpu and external resources. The keyboard, the mouse (which MSFT manufactures in many cases), modems, printers, video cams, video cards, TV tuners, and on. The browser is a highly embellished interpreter of HTML code just as the Java client is an interpreter of Java (albeit the version supplied by SUNW is dreadfully slow. Oddly enough it is OK to have the O/S on the server and have everyone use your SUNW Java approved client but you can't do it the other way around. This is all arbitrary and an abuse of judicial power on the part of the DOJ, the judge and MSFT's competitors. JFD
