Technically we are still in no man's land. We either will drop below 20 or move up 28-30$.
However, it seems that we heading lower.

the key paragraph:

"''Class-action lawsuits should be used to resolve legitimate claims and not serve as a rigged lottery for trial
lawyers,'' Lew Goldfarb, DaimlerChrysler vice president and associate general counsel, said in a statement.

''For too long, trial lawyers have been exploiting class actions, turning these lawsuits into a form of legalized
blackmail. They launch frivolous cases because they believe that just the threat of massive class actions filed in
many states can coerce a company into settlement. It's time they started paying for some of the costs of abusing
our legal system.''

Reply to the "Drip" msg(5066) report...I will dissect a portion of it ...

He wrote "... we have heard very little about the company's actual business, be it the Kraft division, its Miller beer division, or its tobacco division..."

Odd...I get a detailed audit report of these divisions every
three months..." Of course, it is called the quarterly report. He either does not read it, or he does not believe it.

He wrote " These legal problems are not likely to subside anytime soon, but instead could proliferate and gain omentum based on legal proceedings being held against the company right now. Courts are making legal decisions that..."

Indeed, Courts are making legal decisions...so far 7 Apellate courts have dismissed plaintiffs suits. In favor of
tobacco. note his words..."likely" (in his opinion),
and "could" ...again , in his opinion. Once again,
make an assertion, and pretend it is a fact.

He wrote in paragraph three...something that is non-sequitar
to the rest of his message. To wit..that the plaintiffs cases will proliferate to other industries...already last week.. One of the senators from Utah (I believe - did I get that correct. O. Hatch ? I believe)...raised concern that these class actions are getting out of hand - my phrase.
In unusual strong language he pointed , or implied, that trial attorneys were abusing the judicial proscess in these suits...and also indirectly implied that the abuse of the court system was not confined to plaintiff's in class actions, but also, the abuse by the U.S. Justice Department to provide social - political agendas by abusing the court process...He did not specifically say this, in the article I am refer to, but it is a subject...abuse of court system ...is begining to ring warning bells in other camps...

He wrote..."Wall Street hates simple and fluid uncertainty as much as it dislikes a hardened negative outcome."

I suppose so...but I would add that history shows that the
Wall Street has consistently shown to be irrational , and subject to manias and other madness.
How many times...buy when everyone else hates...sound familiar...as to The Fools prediction...I say who cares..about his predictions.

He wrote of in his opinion , an apparantly some on this thread..."unresponsivenes of management"...

Another one...who egotitically thinks that MO management should consult with him ... personally ? does he want a phone call every night..providing a up to the minute piece of information...apparantly so...of course he wants to know
about strategy, tactical issues.. sure...he and the competion and the plaintiff's attorneys want to know this same information ... I have heard these complaints before...
management of various enterprises beinng criticised for not
giving out more information...sure...just ask General Shwarskoff the criticism that CNN leveled...."where are we going to bomb today, General? come on General give us the news... .... I do not want Drip or the plaintif's attorneys insights in MO's strategy. Nor do I as a shareholder expect nightly calls from Mr. Bible...(as apparantly some on this thread would like ).

He wrote more...read it again for yourselves...repetitionns, but

the clincher is the line he wrote..

"I believe that feeling good about your investments
leads to a healthier investing career."

Is that not the cutest thing... The Drip reports advice....Buy feel good stocks...! Make society proud of you.
