Wally: Long term forecasts have been historically wrong in this sector. Let's see ... none of the chip executives put much value in their own forecasts but Osha has got it nailed as lasting years:

"Osha predicted a ''benevolent double-digit revenue growth environment'' for the industry, potentially lasting three to four years, which he said could help fuel considerable gains in earnings and stock prices."

Been there done that.

"He said the industry appeared to have returned to its historic three- to five-year boom-and-bust cycles but that the lack of capacity within the industry suggests that the sort of inventory gluts that lead to downturns are a remote issue."

Yes, for now maybe. But a remote issue for three to four years? What is smokin' Joe inhaling here?
