IMHO 'Ignorance' is simply a relative term that values someone else's opinion, stance or viewpoint as 'less' than your own; it is a judgment call.
We may not like what we are hearing or reading from other posters because it challenges our own beliefs and viewpoints, but no one is dumber just for seeing things differently than ourselves.
I have found that sometimes anothers opinion may seem ridiculous and outrageous, only to find out later they we're right on the money, I just was unable to 'see' what they saw. I guess I could feel stupid at that point, or acknowledge that I am not always right.

If a poster is really upsetting to us, we now have that handy little 'ignore this person' option to avoid the discomfort of anothers view.
