Frank, I would be surprised if Dell, in this whole scenario, did not give itself enough wiggle room to beat the .18 consensus....it would have been foolish NOT to have the analysts lower their estimates (to the point in which you could beat them by at least a penny)...after all, a few weeks ago, the actual number (.18/.17/.16) was much less relevant then the fact that Dell was even coming out (and changing its perspective) so late in the quarter....and it (the actual number) would have been largely irrelevant (given the one quarter blip scenario)...so, if Dell comes in at .18, I would say that it would be the SECOND big misstep management has made in recent weeks...

Despite recent hiccups, I think Dell's managemen is too savvy NOT to beat here...MD should be well-aware of the frustration of the masses as of late.......if we come in at .18, I for one will be disappointed..regardless of the forward... (sorry Jim Kelley...just callin' it like I see it..)..although even at .18 (and strong forward) it is hard to imagine the stock will go down much further..although it certainly could languish for another few months...which would be agonizing, no doubt..........that is, only WITHOUT some upside surprise...
