The upgrades and good words out of the likes of ML don't hurt, but their targets are like sticking a wet finger up into the wind, IMO.

You're probably pretty close to the reality. Most of the time they just seem to add 20% to the previous day's close to get a new target.

Right now there is momentum.

All the losers who are piling into the semis after a huge 140% increase in the SOX from the bottom are not the "smart money".

When the momentum changes (and it will) ....the recent buyers will be wondering what happened.
