I want a new cat. Henry still hasn't turned up, and I've given up hope. We put signs up around the neighborhood, and went to the animal shelter and filled out a form, and went back every week, but no Henry. I was thinking, reading about Stumpy, that all we have now are auxiliary cats. I want a main cat. Chris has been wanting either a Norwegian Forest cat or a Maine Coon cat for years, ever since Max died, he wants a large, brown tabby cat with whiteness of kiss and orangeness of nose, and a big "M" on his forehead. But, I wonder, how will we know that the new cat is a main cat? Chris has a very big, sloppy, indiscriminate heart. When we go to the pound, he always falls in love with half the cats he sees. And I can tell that they aren't main cats, poor things. No matter how much you love them, they'll always be auxiliary cats.
