Oh, jp, how truly terrible- I just ache for his parents and for all the family. There can be nothing nothing worse than this. Is he a cousin? nephew?
However, that does not mean we care any less about you and your hand, so make sure you let us know immediately. I'm glad your parents are there.
OH- and I do remember the realization that my mother was getting older. That the balance was shifting subtly. It was -- very strange and scary.

Wife's pain is all but gone. They did a surgery that is new this year and really cuts down on the time in bed. Instead of a cast they have her leg in a machine for part of the day that keeps bending her joints so she won't stiffen up. still she can't put any weight on it for 4 months.

Is Mitchell your nephew? I hope he's ok. Young people shouldn't have such problems.

So tomorrow is your big day? I'll cross my fingers that you get a good report. It's wrong that you or anyone else should have needless pain and crippling and you've had it way too long.
