re: COMS
Take over speculation has run hot and cold, with a host of possible buyers mentioned. I never thought a buy-out was likely, unless it was hostile, because of the vast difference between the price that COMS management would accept (IMHO about $60) and the price that the shareholders of the buying company would approve.

I think COMS is rising on fundamentals here, from a very beaten down position, and is also riding the wave of wireless interest. 3COM will very soon be filing an S1(?) with the SEC to define the spin-off of Palm. The first part of the IPO should happen in January, 20% of Palm shares being sold to the public; at some later date, within approximately six months, the remaining 80% will be given to COMS shareholders.

And COMS reports earnings next month.
