Maybe all these kid games went out of style because of the lawn thing? When I was a kid, we didn't have lawns, we had yards, and there were patches of dirt where people walked, or under trees, where grass didn't grow, so you could spin a top, or make a circle for marbles. Can't spin a top on a lawn, and I don't think you can spin one on a sidewalk.

I just don't know, but were lawns a big deal before, just not where I lived? I just don't remember men making such a big deal out of their lawns before the 70's.

Edit: Chris says you spin tops on driveways, so what do I know? Another guy thing, I guess.
