I have deep reservations. First, I disagree with the implication that gender is "constructed", although it is true that it is socially reinforced. Second, I dislike the use of liberation as a criterion for the goodness of actions, it is the start of the excessive self- preoccupation that haunts our age. Third, the political context in which she labored was mostly destructive and fellow-travelling. However, perhaps I have overlooked something that makes her better than the impression I have would suggest.....
