Could there be several Sumitomo's? I distinctly remember the part about Sumitomo Concrete as it seemed so strange.

the reference to "affiliate" or affiliated company most likely is a reference to its 18% (or whatever it is) position, so ORTL can not be consolidated, but will be treated on the equity method. I think there is no implication whatever that ORTL is in the same business as Sumitomo, or "handles" business for SMTO.

Of course, I do not have the benefit of having read the text that you are referring to.
