By golly, yes! That's the whole point! If you wish, you can write your entire UI in HTML, and call into the OS to render it for you! With IE5, they extended it to XML as well, a much more powerful idea. Thank-you for clearing this up for me. I wish this stuff was both easier to understand and more widely discussed, because it makes both developer's and consumer's life much easier. Unfortunately, it's difficult to appreciate advancements we cannot understand. If newer Microsoft's products had clearer advantages such as improved mileage or better taste no bureaucrat would dare deny consumers the benefits of progress. Unfortunately, Microsoft's products evolve behind a 'mist of mystery' where we get better utility and value, but don't really know why or how. This leaves us vulnerable to exploitation by empire building politicians and their parade of parasites. You've helped shine a little light on the matter. Cheers, PW.
