NEW YORK, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Online retailer Amazon.com Inc. (NasdaqNM:AMZN - news) should achieve full year profitability in 2002, and could achieve profitability right away if the investment community demanded it, investment bank Goldman Sachs said in a research report.

MM, it can not be a hoax in view of the fact that all the electronics wholesalers have had absolutely dismal earnings and IBM and HWP both have warned. but i actually think it doesn't really matter whether it is or isn't a hoax, since all rational analysis has gone out of the window anyway.
i think that Ballmer hit the nail on the head with his comments a few weeks back. of course the power of the printing presses remains the foremost force in the market...
