Hi ETS, Schwab is absolutely correct. It has been out for years. In fact I've used it in the past, but, I think everyone is missing the point here. This tech. is not about paying bills electronically. That is just a side bar. It is about same as cash instantly. To be able to use your ATM card in leu of writing a check. To be able to pay for something and not have to use your credit card if you choose not to. To offer a choice and to get an instant transaction and not receive a bill at the end of the month. Paying bill is just a boney. It seems that folks are getting side tracked here. Trying to justify and defend paying bills is a new revelation, a new thing, a new way to slice bread. Its not. When this tech. is in place and the devises are installed at both ends of the connection, consumer & merchant, the applications for its use are endless. Governments and entertainment included. Think of it from the entertainment side alone. Go to a club. Swipe your card and move 25.00 against your tab before you start to drink or party. As the night progresses, each time you order the club swipes their tab card against your tab. No more reaching into your pocket every time the waitress comes, no more being nickel and dime for a tip, no more leaving your cash on the counter or table and wondering can I get up without someone copping my cash. When you run out the waitress says your dry. Pony up or get up. So it is great for those that don't have or use credit cards but don't want to carry around a lot of cash. So that is just one application. Myself, I would like that feature. So you see, that is where I perceive that is were the company is trying to go. Now if my perception is wrong, then someone please correct me. In just that one application, everyone is protected and has been paid right away and everyone goes home happy. This will also be a super bonus for immigrants who can't get a credit card but can get an ATM card. Do you realize how much business 7-11 get a week in money orders from internationals that don't have credit but still have to pay bills. Now that is where the bill paying thing is a side bar. For them, this would be a God send. Of course I could go on a on but I won't. So all I'm trying to do is make a point. Its not about paying bills, its about speed, convenience, and most of all security. Cash not in your pocket and no hacker trying to crack you credit card number. About not getting a bill at the end of the month and being charged 15-23% interest for an unpaid balance. This will undoubtedly enhance ones personal spending habits. Oh! If I might add. If restaurants had it, I would be able to pay my tab when I am short and not have to use my credit card.;-)))) I sure could of used it Tuesday.;-)))))) Anyway, I will bid you all ado, and think about what I am saying. Feel free to add, subtract or criticize.;-)))) Catcha all on the upside, Ron
