Here's some legitimate words of warning from one of SI's old hands that I received in a PM:

..been watching the SSFT thread. Interesting discussion...

Whilst Anthony's contention of 'fraud' is most certainly recklessly incorrect, rogermci's
and Lucky888's suggestion that it's overbought and headed lower due to natural
momentum mechanics is probably on target.

The H-P deal won't easily parlay into cash/earnings. They've simply given SSFT a
snippet of code, the JetSend device driver code protocol, to integrate into their
supported devices. At 5mil units, JetSend isn't a huge factor in the peripheral market.
Beyond that, only a fraction of this fraction will care about SSFT products (which are
admittedly very good).

The MSFT deal lacks sufficient detail for comment.

I like SSFT...but it's probably going to fall from here. They have more work to do.
Not sure why they picked up the Kai products (Goo, Soap, etc...) from
MetaCreations. Seems like throw-away money there...MetaCreations was eager to
get rid of them.
