Jim - I know exactly what your talking about.

I was constantly selling some positions right before a big run up and holding others too long. Now, I buy 2x the position I want and sell half on the first run up. With some profit off the table, I can let it run higher. If it doesn't go anywhere, I sell. It's been working for me.

YOU DA MAN, Jim B. Forget this trading crap; our kids are the biggest investment of our lives! Before I got into a little personal mess, my SI profile was really nice with a bunch of html crap on it, and a bit too much personal info, and under investment strategy I had this listed (honest),
"My kids have been my best investment so far."
