It sounds like it would be a big detriment for developers (and thus computer users) if the Internet functionality (DLLs) were removed from the OS. Sorry to put it in a way that is a big DUH!? for those who understand, but I think (like you said) that the judge and probably most of the public dont understand the points in your post. Remember back when every graphical program had a different menu structure, and different window actions because everyone had custom windowing code that had to be built in to the application or at least distributed with it? Wouldn't it be a joy to go back to those days, all in the name of "fairness" and "competition"?
