People are anticipating earnings which exceed even the whisper number, and most likely a split announcement. These are not the only factors driving the stock. Numerous brokerages have made extremely bullish statements of late, in addition to AMAT itself. My broker ( who knew Applied when it was in a garage in the East Bay and whose basis in the stock was 1$ - no kidding!-) states this is going to be a Fortune 500 company. I am certain he is looking for alot more than the current 100+ on this stock. Will sell prior to split and buy back. p.s. The H Robert is out of the closet - he has always been an AMD fan. Lynnie K
