A question for the thread: I generally try to avoid the volatility of the first hour of trading and usually go long with the first breach of the first 60 minutes' high. This worked nicely today on SSFT, but sometimes I'm faked out as in the case of HIFN this morning. My question is whether anyone out there has ideas on how to avoid these kind of fake-outs, either TA or strategy based. Thanks for any input...

Albion

Craig, First apologies for the delay, was out of town. Sorry, but the general rule is payments withheld this year compared to total tax owed last year before payments, to escape the penalty. There are some other ways to perhaps lessen it by annualizing the income. Helps if most of the earnings were late in the year.
