I feel less qualified commenting on Athlon MHz scalability.
It seems that the 750MHz parts in Dec. from Austin will be
at .18um. (Is that your take also?) I suspect both AMD and Intel will be at 800MHz by Feb (both on .18um) I always thought it would be a horse race that would not play out until well into 2000. Seems like both companies could make some good money along the way. It will be very interesting.
