I really have not figured that out fully. I would agree that the Fed raising next week will not have much of an effect and will probably cause a further rise that day and the next.

Core holdings like MSFT, CSCO I just ride out.
More volatile issues like BRCM and JDSU I may use some covered calls. I thought about covered calls last week on BRCM and I'm glad I didn't do it. Quite frankly I am surprised by the strength in the techs right now, I guess as one trader put it today, people are calling and say they want the stock and they don't care what it costs.

On several of my call positions I thought that I would be unloading today but the NAZ continues to power ahead so I must go with the momentum. Bottom line it is an exhilarating but confusing market. I must expect a 30 to 50% retracement in the NAZ after this near parabolic rise. I'm keeping my finger on the trigger, I'm 20% cash now and will go to 40%. I think we will get one last good buying opportunity this year.

AOL, BRCM, QCOM will be high on my list of "million dollar" option plays for the first part of '00

Regards,
