For further clarification, the post I was referring to is reply no. 5759 on this thread. I wrote, amongst other things:

I definitely do not agree with him about where WOFDM is (not) applicable. He maybe talking about VOFDM since VOFDM has this vector element that, in my belief, may require larger antennas (or an antenna array) and some consistency in the multipath.

WOFDM as applied in the IEEE802.11a, again IMO, is definitely targeting wireless LAN applications both fixed and portable.

Which was in reply to Peter E's remark:

"COFDM, VOFDM, WOFDM, etc., will be successful in the market, IP not withstanding. Not in devices powered by AAA batteries, but on desktops and entertainment cabinets."

A PE of 60+ for NT also had me perplexed. Cant figure out who was buying in the 70's and with what target in mind.

Part of the answer is that a company in Canada has been shorting NT and buying BCE which owns 38% of NT and they got caught in a short squeeze.

Cisco's shareholder meeting yesterday was also a "Rah Rah" meeting.

So's the CSCO message board on SI. In this current market environment, investors can't be bothered to know about strategy and complex products, they just want to hear some good things and go home with smiles on their faces. It's called KISS and it works at least for the short term.

IMO, that LU conducted its meeting yesterday like an information seminar is just great. If the analysts can't be bothered to do their homework then they will be the ones missing the boat and so will the lazy shareholders.
