bobby,

so we have the nas up 45% (is it up that much now? or only 40% or so..) for the year. And far more than that off last Oct lows.

what's the historical take? how often, if ever, has a single index been up that much for in a year?

given that the answer is "seldom or never" common-sense (which seems in short supply now) seems to say that that the odds increasingly favor "down" over "up," especially given the uncertainty of the close-at-hand rollover into y2k.

are we about to witness the greatest fleecing of market "Wisdom" in history?

regards,

doug

OT Gee Bobby, are your NDX puts and gold positions getting you down? As for my beer, only the finest. Always. As for my posts being "empty of anything market traders could use to trade on", well, at least they're "empty" of wrong information, i.e. being bearish in the greatest bull market in history.

As for being civil, I can't believe you consider your reply to my post anything of the sort. As for my problem with J6pk, read my post again. I have absolutely no problem with J6pk. I do have a problem with the incessant derision of them on this board though.

For weeks now, I have found every excuse in the world on this thread for the market to go down, from the moon being in a certain position to "it's really time for it to go down now". The objectivity on this board has really gone down the tubes once again, just as it did last October. It has become totally irrevelant, just like Gail Dudak and Ralph Acampora and Bill Meehan and David Tice. Following any of those "pundits" has lost you money time and time again.

Get over yourself. You have no more right to post here than anyone else, including myself. Thus, I have, and will continue to post here as often as I like.

However, since I'd rather spend my time making money following the trend, instead of fighting it, I'll defer to your wishes and "go away".

Good luck with your gold. It's great for fillings you know.
