I hate to say this, but the numerical differences between ORTL and MRVC seem to be less important than the perceptions of investors towards the two. ORTL is perceived to have the recent JDSU price jump association and the Sycamore similarities (Tellium) going for it, while MRVC has the complexity of many divisions and a past vicious sell off going against it. I know that MRVC actually should have those same JDSU and Sycamore associations, but it seems to me that has been overlooked. I am long both stocks and expect MRVC to eventually catch up but realize it may be a bumpy road. As more and more investors look for fiber optic plays that have not gone ballistic, MRVC may just enter into the spotlight....
