Thread--I've been PM'd (private messaged) that I've been a little cryptic with acronyms. From the linked post, ilec = ILEC = Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (including the RBOC's, Regional Bell Operating Companies, and other local companies) as opposed to CLEC = Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (Covad, Northpoint, etc.)--not mentioned in the post. This was all in reference to my statement that the cable companies (eg., Charter) have an advantage going forward, against the ILECs. Best, JS Best, JS
